Located in the lush, rolling Ponca Hills outside of Omaha, Nebraska, Ponca Pines Academy features an innovative therapeutic approach for young women who need to address the past in order to envision a better future.

Ponca Pines Academy is designed specifically for young women ages 16-19. Providing individually enhanced academic and therapeutic interventions, we help our residents prepare for a successful transition into adulthood. With an age of majority of 19 years, the State of Nebraska allows Ponca Pines Academy the unique opportunity to assist young women until their 19th birthday, in our safe residential setting.

Ponca Pines Academy is a program of Uta Halee Girls Village. Uta Halee is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization established in 1950 to serve at-risk young women and their families.

Our treatment approach embraces the Sanctuary Model®, designed to provide a safe, positive environment where young women can begin to explore the past and create their own healthy, unique path to the future. Treatment programs include Individual Therapy, Substance Abuse Therapy, Art Therapy, SELF Therapy Group, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Recreation Therapy and Psycho-educational Groups.

Our Academics component features a college preparatory curriculum and vocational training; we also partner with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s respected Independent Study High School Program.

Ponca Pines Academy features a newly renovated 12-bed cottage located on a 12-acre, self-contained campus with residence, school, gymnasium and adjacent wellness center.
